Fire And Emergency Services Assessment Specialist

Fire and Emergency Services Assessment Specialist K2 Group is seeking a Fire and Emergency Services (F&ES) Assessment Specialist in support of Headquarters, Installation Management Command (IMCOM) Provost Marshal/Protection Support Services (PM/PSS). IMCOM PM/PSS is tasked with ensuring the safety and security of its installations through robust protection plans in the areas of risk management, antiterrorism, physical security, and emergency management, culminating in up to 29 assessments annually.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the F&ES portion of Higher Headquarters Assessments (HHAs) at assigned global Army installations, executing up to 29 assessments (averaging 20) per year.
  • Analyze how F&ES intersect with and impact adjacent protection domains, including Emergency Management, CBRNE, Continuity of Operations (COOP), Risk Management, and Supporting Infrastructure.
  • Pinpoint operational gaps in fire station staffing, equipment readiness, response times, and regulatory compliance, providing data-driven expert findings and observations.
  • Draft, review, and finalize high-quality technical reports, Corrective Action Plans (CAPs), and executive-level project briefings designed to measurably improve installation fire protection posture.
  • Deliver clear, mission-relevant briefings regarding fire protection readiness, risk trends, and systemic vulnerabilities to installation stakeholders and higher headquarters.
  • Coordinate directly with local, command, and enterprise-level stakeholders to ensure assessment findings are accurate, integrated, and realistic for the installation's operational environment.

Requirements

  • 10-12 years DoW Fire and Emergency Services plans, operations, or prevention programs at the installation, command, or enterprise level.
  • Deep, practical knowledge of DoW Fire and Emergency Services certification programs, National Fire Protection Association (NFPA) standards, and military airfield/structural firefighting protocols.
  • Hands-on experience executing Protection Program compliance assessments, Fire and Emergency Services program reviews, or formal command inspections.
  • Bachelor's degree in Fire Science, Emergency Management, Public Administration, or a related discipline.

  • Active Secret Security Clearance
