Financial Program Controls AnalystThe Naval Shipboard Portfolio has an immediate opening for a Financial Program Controls Analyst in the Naval Standard Missile Systems (NSMS) Development directorate. This position provides an opportunity for an ambitious individual to partner with program leaders, provide financial oversight and guidance, and increase exposure to multiple facets of finance across the organization.The NSMS Development program generates approximately $300 M in revenue per year. The Financial Analyst will have a key role in the setup and execution of multiple contracts while providing critical financial oversight and guidance.What You Will DoSupport development cost‑plus contractual Earned Value Management (EVM) contracts.Provide critical financial oversight and guidance for the contracts they maintain.Partner with Program Management and cross‑functional leads to support program execution.Support all program financial aspects, including financial planning (LRP, AOP, working capital, monthly financial performance reporting, and NBI).Develop estimates at completion (EACs) and execute EVM.Qualifications You Must HaveA university degree or equivalent experience and a minimum of 5 years prior relevant experience, or an advanced degree in a related field and minimum 3 years experience.Experience and understanding of the program business role, APEX, Earned Value Management Systems (EVMS), and/or experience with Financial Planning and Analysis (FP&A) concepts.Department of Defense experience.Computer/microsoft office skills (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, etc.).Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government‑issued security clearance (U.S. citizenship required).Preferred QualificationsExperience in a matrix environment.Experience interfacing and conducting business with various functional disciplines.Ability to drive change and influence beyond authority level.Experience organizing, preparing, and presenting briefings to management and peers.Experience interpreting and analyzing financial data.Excellent communication skills (oral and written) when interfacing with all levels of the company.Experience managing multiple DoD contracts.Salary and BenefitsSalary range: $86,800 – $165,200 USD.
