This role supports U.S. Navy Ships under the direction of Southwest Regional Maintenance Center (SWRMC) and serves as the technical Subject Matter Expert (SME) .Responsibilities Direct, oversee repair activities, train, troubleshoot, diagnose, and maintain the following:MK45 MOD 2 or MOD 4MK38 MOD 2 or MOD 3MK110 Gun MountsMK46Night Vision DevicesCrew Served Weapons and MountsMagazine Sprinkler Systems (Fairmont, Consilium, FDAS)Provide technical support for procurement, installation, at-sea testing, preventive/corrective maintenance, and lifecycle management of systems.Interpret technical manuals, apply repair standards, and maintain accurate technical documentation.Required Qualifications High School Diploma or equivalent4 years of related experience with MK45 MOD2 or MOD4Navy Gunner's Mate “A” School graduateNavy 5”/54 MK45 MOD2 “C” School or Navy 5”/54 MK45 MOD4 “C” School graduateAdvanced knowledge and proficient in troubleshooting and maintaining associated systems.Strong technical comprehension with the ability to read and interpret technical manuals, system drawings, and procedural corrective and repair standards.Effective communication skills and ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
