ResponsibilitiesWhat you will doResponds to requests for paramedic level services from areas within the emergency department in a timely and safe manner.Completes documentation and records according to hospital and department policy.Ensures emergency preparedness equipment is ready for response at all times.Assists with codes and critical care patients within the emergency department at the paramedic level, including interdepartmental transport and monitoring.The paramedic performs assigned duties in the emergency department under the supervision of nursing with documentation of proper training and skills evaluation.Assists charge nurse and/or triage nurse in assessing, prioritizing, and maintaining patient flow and assists in reassessing patient waiting to be seen.Responsible to C‑Med communication.Responsibilities may include assisting EMS providers with medications and supply restocking in accordance with hospital agreements with individual providers.Participates in community activities, which improve the public's understanding of the EMS system.Pursues new levels in paramedicine technology and participates in activities which contribute to professional growth and development.QualificationsHigh School Diploma or Equivalent RequiredLicenses and CertificationsParamedic Licensed State of Florida Upon Hire RequiredBLS for Healthcare Providers (BLS) American Heart Association Upon Hire RequiredACLS Provider (ACLS) American Heart Association within 90 Days RequiredNon‑violent crisis intervention (CPI) within 90 Days RequiredEqual Opportunity EmployerBaptist Health Care, Inc. is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
