Position SummaryMilitary Operations Analyst – Mission Technologies (Huntington Ingalls Industries) actively develops and operates solutions to prepare warfighters for cross‑domain battle.Anticipated Salary Range: $85,758.00 – $125,000.00Security Clearance: Ability to obtain Top‑Secret clearance with SCI access.Required Travel: 11‑25%What You Will DoAnalyze complex operational issues and provide recommendations on command and control, contingency operations, force planning, and training exercises.Conduct research and analysis to support the design, development, and execution of war games, experiments, and exercises.Assist in creating scenario materials, including intelligence reports, operational messaging, and assessments for tactical and operational‑level training.Collaborate with military and civilian subject matter experts to define, clarify, and document requirements.Evaluate program and technical options against stated requirements and joint doctrine.Apply analytical techniques to assess training effectiveness, develop metrics, and contribute to concepts of operations.Prepare detailed reports and briefs summarizing findings, identifying deficiencies, and recommending improvements.Requirements9 years relevant experience with Bachelor's degree in a related field; 7 years with a Master's; 4 years with a Ph.D. or J.D.; or High School Diploma and 13 years relevant experience.Ability to obtain and maintain a Top‑Secret clearance with SCI access.Demonstrated understanding of joint planning and exercise principles.Skilled in applying research and analytical methods to support the development and execution of war games, experiments, and training exercises.Strong written and verbal communication skills for preparing reports, briefs, and presentations.Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a team environment.Must be able to travel up to 20‑25%.Preferred RequirementsFormer military junior officer or senior enlisted with joint or service staff experience.Experience with JLVC or modeling & simulation.Working knowledge of the Joint Exercise Life Cycle (JELC).Physical RequirementsMay require working in an office, industrial, shipboard, or laboratory environment.
