Senior Engineering Support Specialist – Weapons Launcher Test Engineer This role offers an exciting opportunity to support mission‑critical naval defense programs by contributing to the testing, integration, and validation of advanced weapon launcher systems for submarine platforms.Location: Manassas, VA (On‑site, potential flexibility based on tasking)Position Type: Contract, 12–24 months with possibility of direct hirePay: $46.64 per hourEducation/Experience: Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or related field with 2+ years of relevant experience OR equivalent experience (4+ years) OR Master's DegreeSchedule: First ShiftClearance Requirement: Active Secret Clearance required (U.S. citizenship required)Responsibilities Collaborate with engineering teams to conduct testing and integration of weapon launcher systems (CWL and MTWS).Define, document, execute, and analyze test procedures and results.Identify system issues and recommend effective resolutions.Develop and analyze test cases while providing progress updates to stakeholders.Perform installation, testing, validation, and troubleshooting of tactical systems.Support both informal and formal test events, including customer‑driven activities.Utilize electrical measurement tools such as oscilloscopes and multimeters.Document software, firmware, and hardware defects and support resolution efforts.Assist with lab configuration, logistics documentation, and operational procedures.Travel as needed to support test events, shipboard installations, and field service activities.Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Proficiency in software testing and analysis.Experience with electrical measurement tools (oscilloscopes, multimeters).General knowledge of network configurations, operations, and commands.Proficiency with Microsoft Office tools (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).Strong understanding of test engineering concepts, principles, and methodologies.Experience with object‑oriented programming, system processes, or scripting languages.Ability to work independently and in fast‑paced, collaborative environments.Strong problem‑solving and analytical skills.Ability to lift up to 45 pounds.Preferred Qualifications Experience with AN/BLQ‑10, AN/BYG‑1, AN/BQQ‑10, or Submarine Weapon Launcher systems.Navy or submarine experience.We are an equal opportunity employer, and all qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity or expression, pregnancy, age, national origin, disability status, genetic information, protected veteran status, or any other characteristic protected by law.#J-18808-Ljbffr
