Defense Staff Officer (TS/SCI)

Zachary Piper Solutions is seeking a Defense Staff Officer to support the Office of the Under Secretary of War in Arlington, VA . We are looking for an individual with expertise in intelligence analysis and strategic operations to provide advisory support to the DoD and intelligence community special operations. Details below:ClearanceTS/SCILocationArlington, VA (100% onsite)ResponsibilitiesAnalyzed intelligence reports and operational updates to support informed decision-making and strategic operations.Conducted in-depth research on sensitive issues related to special operations forces and national security initiatives.Developed and delivered executive-level briefing materials for generals, senior Pentagon officials, and defense leadership.Reviewed and evaluated policies to ensure special operations activities remained compliant with applicable laws, regulations, and DoD directives.Coordinated with military intelligence agencies, interagency partners, and government organizations to support mission objectives and policy alignment.Prepared strategic talking points, policy recommendations, and decision-support materials for senior leaders and executive stakeholders.Responded rapidly to high-priority and time-sensitive requests, providing leadership with accurate information and actionable guidance under tight deadlines.QualificationsBachelors degree and 3+ years of experience supporting national security, intelligence, and strategic operations.Active TS/SCI clearance required.Experience supporting intelligence, national security, defense, counterintelligence, or sensitive activity missions.Strong analytical skills with the ability to identify trends, assess risks, and develop actionable recommendations.Experience preparing executive-level briefings, talking points, and decision-support materials for senior leadership.Ability to coordinate across multiple organizations and stakeholders in complex mission environments.Strong written and verbal communication skills.Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.Experience participating in interagency working groups or cross-functional teams preferred.Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, high-stakes national security environment.CompensationTotal compensation based on experience level – $105,000-$120,000+.Full Benefits: PTO, Holidays, 401K, Medical Dental Vision coverage, Certification Reimbursement.Contract stability and mobility through Zachary Piper Solutions.#J-18808-Ljbffr
