About The Role

You'll be responsible for transforming complex case material - timelines, court documents, interviews, and investigative reporting - into structured, emotionally grounded scripts designed for long-form digital storytelling.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct comprehensive research on criminal cases, missing persons, and investigations
  • Synthesize complex timelines and source material into clear, compelling narratives
  • Write structured long-form scripts optimized for YouTube pacing and retention
  • Fact-check all details to ensure accuracy and credibility
  • Organize and document sources for internal records and verification
  • Maintain a victim-centered tone that balances empathy with clarity
  • Collaborate with producers and editors to refine structure and narrative flow
  • Deliver scripts aligned with weekly production timelines


Qualifications
  • Minimum of a Bachelor's degree in Creative Writing or a related field
  • Strong research and source verification skills
  • Demonstrated experience writing long-form narrative content
  • Genuine interest in true crime and investigative storytelling
  • Ability to handle sensitive subject matter with discretion and care
  • Highly organized and deadline-oriented
