GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES

The Security Specialist is responsible for helping ensure the safety and security of all Terry Reilly Health Services (TR) staff, patients, and facilities. This role serves multiple functions to maintain a physical security presence in TR facilities, help train staff, conduct safety walkthroughs of facilities, and participates in various corporate committees and meetings around various safety topics. This role will be at the direction of the Safety Officer and other appropriate stakeholders to provide a safe work environment and patient care environment.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

  • Maintain Federal Qualification Concealed Weapon Card
  • 3+ years of law enforcement
  • Knowledge of applicable federal and state laws regarding safety, information, and privacy practices
  • Demonstrated leadership, organization, facilitation, communication, and presentation skills
  • Ability to organize, prioritize, and coordinate multiple stakeholders, activities, and tasks
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
  • Experience in Health Center and/or FQHC setting.
  • Experience in health information access controls, release of health information, and health information release control strategies and technologies.
  • Knowledge of Spanish (Ability to speak, read, and write).
