FT Associate Asset Protection - Security

Position SummaryClerk II Asset Protection is responsible for the protection of the Company's retail store assets by investigating the loss of asset(s) including merchandise, money, and property. This role is responsible for preventing loss and shrink within their assigned stores through thorough monitoring, investigating, surveillance and other loss prevention tactics to include apprehending shoplifters.ResponsibilitiesMonitor store activity to detect theft, fraud, and policy violationsConduct surveillance and investigations to identify sources of lossApprehend individuals engaged in shoplifting or other dishonest activity in accordance with company policies and local lawsMaintain detailed reports of incidents, investigations, and apprehensionsCollaborate with store management and law enforcement as neededPerform routine audits to identify and resolve potential security risksSupport store compliance with loss prevention policies and proceduresContribute to a safe shopping and working environment through active deterrence and visibilityQualificationsHigh school diploma or GED required; associate degree or relevant certification in Criminal Justice or Security preferred1-2 years of experience in loss prevention, asset protection, security, or related field preferredKnowledge of retail operations, shrink reduction strategies, and investigative techniquesStrong observational skills with the ability to detect suspicious behavior and respond appropriatelyAbility to remain calm, professional, and objective in high-pressure situationsBasic understanding of laws related to theft, apprehension, and use of surveillanceExcellent written and verbal communication skills for report writing and incident documentationComfortable using surveillance equipment, reporting systems, and basic computer applicationsMust be able to work flexible schedules including evenings, weekends, and holidaysAbility to stand or walk for extended periods and physically apprehend individuals, if necessary, in accordance with company policy and safety standardsSalarySalary range is between $18.29 - $24.38 Hrly.BenefitsTuition reimbursement, scholarship & grant programs, leadership development, career advancement, continuous learning opportunities, and access to Market USA Credit Union.Comprehensive healthcare, life insurance, paid parental leave, wellness programs, a 401k plan with up to a 5% company match, paid time off, and employee assistance programs.Business Resource Groups (BRGs), rewards & recognition programs, community outreach, and numerous volunteer opportunities that connect associates with the communities we serve.#J-18808-Ljbffr
