Long Term Contract /Temp to Hire We are seeking an experienced Network Planning Engineer to support the design, modernization, and optimization of secure, mission-critical network environments. This role is ideal for an engineer with expertise in network architecture, capacity planning, performance analysis, and infrastructure modernization within highly secure environments. Responsibilities Design and support enterprise network architectures across LAN, WAN, wireless, and hybrid environments.
Perform network planning, traffic analysis, capacity forecasting, and performance optimization.
Develop technical documentation, implementation plans, and network design packages.
Collaborate with engineering, cybersecurity, and operations teams to deliver secure, scalable, and resilient solutions.
Support network modernization efforts, technology upgrades, troubleshooting, and root cause analysis.
Provide technical guidance and contribute to engineering best practices. Qualifications Bachelor's degree and 8+ years of network engineering experience
strong experience with network architecture, planning, and performance management.
Experience supporting secure, highly available enterprise environments.
Active TS/SCI clearance with polygraph eligibility or current polygraph preferred. Preferred Skills Experience supporting government, defense, intelligence, or other highly regulated programs.
Certifications such as CCNA, CCNP, CCIE, JNCIA, JNCIP, Security+, or equivalent.
Knowledge of SDN, network automation, cloud networking, hybrid infrastructure.
