Our team is seeking a Fire Protection Specialist to join our team supporting the Department of Energy (DoE) with the required education and experience outlined below.Part-Time, 20 Hours per WeekSite Address: 1000 Independence Ave SW, Washington, DC 20024Responsibilities & Duties Evaluates fire protection systems including alarms, sprinklers, and suppression systems.Coordinates inspections, testing, and certification with authorities having jurisdiction (AHJ).Reviews facility layouts to ensure compliance with fire codes and safe egress.Advies on fire risks associated with relocation activities.Ensures compliance with NFPA standards and federal safety regulations.Job Qualifications Educational Requirements Bachelor's degree in Fire Protection Engineering, Fire Science, Safety Engineering, or related field OR equivalent combination of education and experienceProfessional certifications (e.g., NICET, CFPS) preferredExperience Requirements Must have a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience.EEO/AA Employer/Vets/DisabilityMartek is a VEVRAA federal contractor and requests priority referrals.#J-18808-Ljbffr
