Role DescriptionThe Fire Systems Technician is a full-time, on-site role based in Indianapolis, IN. This role is responsible for installing, inspecting, testing, maintaining, and repairing fire protection systems and suppression systems.The technician will perform routine and scheduled inspections, document findings, complete service reports, and ensure all work meets applicable codes, safety standards, and manufacturer specifications. Day-to-day tasks include troubleshooting system issues, replacing components, coordinating with customers and internal teams, and responding to service calls that may include urgent or time-sensitive needs.The technician will also help maintain tools, vehicles, and test equipment in good working order and follow all safety procedures while working at customer sites.QualificationsExperience installing, inspecting, testing, and maintaining suppression systems in commercial or industrial environments.Knowledge of fire protection codes, standards, and regulations (e.g., NFPA, local building and fire codes) and ability to apply them in daily work.Ability to read and interpret technical documentation, blueprints, wiring diagrams, and equipment manuals.Strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills, including safe use of hand tools, power tools, and test equipment.Effective written and verbal communication skills to interact with customers, team members, and supervisors and to complete clear service documentation.Strong attention to detail, time management, and organizational skills, with the ability to work independently at customer locations.Valid driver's license with a clean driving record and ability to travel locally to job sites as needed.Ability to lift and carry equipment, climb ladders, work at heights, and perform physical tasks safely in a variety of environments.High school diploma or equivalent; technical or vocational training in fire protection, electrical, or related fields is preferred.#J-18808-Ljbffr
