Keep flammable materials from ignition sources.• Able to read and writeeffectively• Proper PersonalProtective Equipment (PPE).• Keep track of timelocations and fire bottles assigned• Keep track of fireextinguishers daily• Watch out for firehazards in the workplace while work is performed by other employees• Keep flammablematerials from ignition sources.• In the event of fire,extinguish it immediately or turn a fire alarm on• Able to work inconfined spaces• Performs fireprevention activities during hot work operations.• Performs other dutiesas assigned.• Must be able tofulfill job requirements as directed by Foreman & Firewatch Coordinator.• Must be able to workfor 8 to 12 hours per day• Must be able to workup to 5-7 days a weekPhysical Job Demands• Moderate physicaleffort required, including standing for extended periods.• Continuous mentaland visual attention required.• Subject to randomdrug and alcohol testing• Lift heavy objects(50-60+/- lbs.)BackgroundBackground check7-years of past employment historyMust pass a drugscreeningRequired physical andrespirator fit testingExperience2 years or more insome capacity of Fire Watch general labor experience specifically withshipboard experience within shipyard environment.
