Administrative Clerk – Expand Your Experience With Court-Related Operations
We are hiring an Administrative Clerk to support our client's busy administrative and court-related operations in Biddeford, Maine. This position pays $23 per hour and is a long-term temporary assignment that offers consistent weekday hours and valuable experience in a structured, professional environment.
This role is ideal for someone who enjoys detail-oriented administrative work while gaining exposure to legal and court processes, making perfect for someone who likes a challenge and work that is different every day.
Typical Daily Duties:
- Provide internal and external customer service, including answering and directing phone calls
- Perform data entry, document filing, scanning, faxing, and record keeping
- Docket, process, and file matters, and assist with scheduling and maintaining records
- Handle and process fines, fees, and payments, maintaining accurate ledgers and accounts
- Prepare reports and abstracts for agencies and maintain documentation as required
- Communicate professionally with the public, judges, attorneys, and government agencies
- Operate recording equipment, maintain logs, and support courtroom or hearing activities
- Assist with jury management tasks, including preparing lists and sending questionnaires
- Monitor office supplies and provide general administrative support as needed
What We're Looking For:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Prior experience with office work required
- Legal industry experience preferred but not required
- Strong customer service, communication, and organizational skills
- Proficiency with standard office equipment and computer systems
- High level of accuracy, attention to detail, and ability to manage sensitive information
