Traffic Markings Technician

This position will coordinate and participate in daily traffic marking operations. Interpret work orders, blueprints to determine project requirements. The ability to troubleshoot and maintain the Special Markings trailer and all its equipment. Operate and direct the use of equipment such as striping trucks, thermoplastic applicators, and hand tools. Ensure the proper mixing, application, and curing of marking materials (paint, thermoplastic). Maintain accurate records of materials used, work completed. Enforce safety procedures and traffic control protocols at work sites. Inspect work to ensure quality and regulatory compliance. Communicate effectively with supervisors, and the public as needed. Ability to work varied hours, including nights and weekends, and in varied weather conditions. Shifts are 6 am-4 pm 4 days a week during summer months and 7 am-3 pm 5 days a week in the winter.
