Duties include responding to calls for service within a patrol area and enforcing laws by proactive patrolling and investigating crimes. The work is performed under the direction of assigned supervisory staff.Minimum Qualifications (Pass/Fail)Meet the educational requirements or reciprocity standards of the Minnesota Peace Officers Standards and Training (POST) Board to become licensed as a peace officer according to Minnesota Rules 6700.0700; or possess a valid Minnesota POST license, eligibility, or reciprocity application.Possession of a valid driver's license.Veterans PreferenceVeteran: DD214 noting character of serviceDisabled Veteran: DD214 & compensable disability award letter issued within the last 6 months.Spouse of Disabled Veteran: DD214 & compensable disability award letter issued within the last 6 months & marriage certificate.
