We help you build a career.Your daily work includes:Setting up cones, signs, and barricades and taking traffic control equipment downUsing a stop/slow paddle to guide traffic, watching traffic and job site activityFollowing all safety rules taught in trainingCommunicating with your crew and supervisorHelping keep vehicles and equipment clean and safeWorking outside all year, in all weatherShifts may change based on job needs: Some nights, weekends, or emergency work may be requiredYou may stand or walk 8 to 12 hours per shiftWe give you a hard hat, safety goggles, a safety vest, safety whistle, walkie talkie, and cold/hot weather gear: you bring your own steel toe safety boots that go above the ankle.Qualifications Valid driver's licenseAble to stand, walk, and work outside for long periodsAble to lift 40-50 poundsWilling to work in traffic and changing weatherFlexible schedule; Show up on time, every shiftMust pass pre-hire screening, including a drug test (this is a safety sensitive job)Stay alert around moving traffic and follow all safety rules all the timeTreat coworkers, clients, and the public with respectAdditional InformationPay: Pay: $21.00-$21.75 per hourOvertime availablePay increases in your first yearPaid training and a traffic safety certificateBenefits for eligible employees include: Paid Time Off and paid holidaysPaid sick time (where required)On demand pay availabilityHealth insurance401(k) optionEmployee Assistance ProgramReferral bonusesPromotion Opportunities: Senior ProtectorLead ProtectorField SupervisorManager rolesAWP Safety is an Equal Opportunity Employer (EOE).
