The Task Lead will serve as a project lead and provide oversight of system and network forensic examinations/malware analysis and reverse engineering for a range of evidence collected for a government mission. The Task Lead be responsible for the quality and efficiency of the contractor's performance and will assist the Government with all financial and business processes of the task, excluding inherently governmental functions. The Task Lead will manage approximately 50 contractors consisting of forensic examiners, malware engineers, and imaging and extraction technicians. As the Task Lead, the candidate will work with team leads to: • Provide functional knowledge of operational and support processes for their service area. • Clarify/resolve process-related activities for technical team. • Understand existing and proposed delivery process, procedures, and tools by function. • Monitor and report progress against plans through final acceptance and signoff. • Manage, coordinate, and resolve project issues, decisions, and risks. • Personnel / Performance Management: Responsibilities include interviewing, selection and hiring; training new and existing employees; planning, assigning and directing work; addressing employee performance and corrective action plans; employee motivation and rewards. Required Qualifications: • 12 years of relevant experience, may have management experience. • Active Top Secret clearance, SCI eligible. • Experience within the last five years leading technical efforts and supervising teams in a forensics lab environment. • Experience within the last seven years performing digital and multimedia forensics examinations, analysis, and techniques. • Experience within the last seven years working with MS Windows, Apple/UNIX, and Linux operating systems related to forensics examinations. • Experience within the last seven years with forensic network analysis in support of the investigative process. • Experience within the last seven years analyzing endpoint, Packet Capture (PCAP) data, and other relevant data sources. • Experience within the last five years utilizing common digital forensic examination tools (e.g., FTK, EnCase, and X-Ways). Desired Skills: • PMP Certification. • Minimum of one year of experience within the last five years working on malware analysis, reverse engineering, software development, and the cyber-attack lifecycle, from the initial exploit and malware execution path to callback destinations and follow- on binary download attempts.
