PIX11 is looking for an experienced traffic producer that thrives in a fast paced environment to lead our traffic and transit coverage for the PIX11 Morning news.The ideal candidate should have extensive knowledge of local roads and public transit systems. Experience in making graphics for broadcast and digital use would be a plus as well.COMPENSATION:Hourly rate: starting rate $ 30 per hour. This is a union position.RequirementsCollege degree in communications, television, media production, or broadcast journalism are a plus.Efficiency with independent work under minimal guidanceWilling to work overnight hoursExperienceAbility to handle stress, work calmly and effectively under pressure, and react quickly to changes.Knowledge of geography and roadways within the local coverage area, including general traffic patterns and mass transit.Previous experience as a television producer and/or public safety dispatch is helpful.About the CompanyEOE/MINORITIES/FEMALES/VETERANS/DISABLED#J-18808-Ljbffr
