RENO COUNTY MUSEUM is looking for museum aide volunteers Tuesdays through Saturdays from 11 a.m.-1 p.m. or 1 p.m.-4 p.m. Museum aides will The mission of the Reno County Museum is to collect, preserve, interpret and share the greet museum patrons at the main entrance and provide information related to various facilities within the museum, provide information and assistance to patrons of the gift shop, including the operation of the cash register and issuance of receipts, as well as accept donations. Volunteers will be tracking attendance, tagging and stocking items and keeping the gift shop clean. There could be small office tasks that could be done at the front desk such as helping with event materials also. Volunteers may also be assisting the administration, collections and curator departments. Volunteers should have an ability to interact courteously with the public, including children, an ability to provide general information related to the museum, its activities, and the community, basic math skills and monetary transactions skills, as well as customer services skills. Volunteers should be 18 years of age and over.
