Job TitleVisitor Center Information SpecialistMultiple LocationsPA: Milford, Honesdale, Hawley, Stroudsburg, Jim ThorpeReports ToVisitor Center ManagerSummaryPromotes the Pocono Mountains region (the four counties: Monroe, Carbon, Pike, and Wayne) and informs individuals visiting the region of the activities and amenities the bureau's members provide.Duties & ResponsibilitiesGreet and assist all visitors to the center with information (availability, reservations, things to do, places to dine) about the Pocono region.Answer all incoming information calls and provide callers with information (availability, reservations, things to do, places to dine) about the Poconos and other tourism-related requests.Understands and is knowledgeable on how to navigate the website, and relay information to guests.Read blogs and watch PTN and Pocono Mountains Magazine to learn more about member businesses and local offerings.Understand and utilize the Kiosks located at each center; show guests how to navigate the platform and find information on the Poconos.Enter partner referrals into partner database for referral tracking.Prepare complete and accurate daily reports, including customer-served counts, and reservations, notation of visits from the commissioners and PMVB members (hotel, attractions).Enter Pocono Mountains Magazine requests into consumer database.Utilize Microsoft programs (Outlook, Word, Excel) for job related duties.Restock brochures for guest and assist in acquiring brochures for the center.
