The ideal candidate is one with previous experience as in‑house or general counsel, with a solid grasp on ethics and regulatory issues. This position imparts broad responsibilities in various areas of law spanning multiple jurisdictions. Because our firm's headquarters are in New York, this position entails communicating with our main office exclusively via telephone and electronic means (e‑mail, Microsoft Teams, etc.).Key ResponsibilitiesDevelop and implement strategies for addressing escalated cases, along with providing guidance and support to attorneys and legal staff.Oversee investigation and handling of escalated legal matters.Maintain comprehensive knowledge of ongoing cases.Conduct in‑depth legal research and analysis.Work closely with other departments, as well as collaborating with outside counsel and experts to manage legal challenges.Skills, Knowledge and ExpertiseJ.D. or foreign equivalent.3 years of experience in related role.3 years of experience working in debt resolution environment.3 years of experience working with litigation matters and resolution of complex litigation cases.Must be licensed to practice law in state of New York.BenefitsCompensation is competitive and commensurate with expertise and previous experience.Hybrid Work Model - must report to New York, NY office 3 days per week (Tues - Thurs).Training & Guidance.Medical, Dental & Vision Benefits.401K Benefits with Employer Match.Paid Time Off (PTO).Pre‑tax Transit Benefits.Business Casual Dress Code.An incredible team of smart and supportive people!#J-18808-Ljbffr
