GENERAL FUNCTION: Under the supervision of the transportation department director, the dispatcher uses the radio to call and receive calls from the department bus drivers; serves as receptionist for the department; and assists with departmental secretarial responsibilities.

(Promotions result in a 5% minimum increase)

1. High school graduation or equivalent education and/or experience.

KNOWLEDGE & ABILITY:

1. Ability to use personal computer and district information system.

2. Keyboarding skills.

Machines, Tools & Equipment Used:

1. Personal Computer

2. District mainframe

3. 10-key adding machine

4. Telephone

5. Two-way radio

6. Copy machine
