We are seeking a highly skilled Networks SME to join our team in Alpharetta. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience designing and implementing large-scale networks in Financial Services, Technology Vendors, or Systems Integrators. This role requires a deep understanding of network infrastructure, routing protocols, and troubleshooting, with the ability to work independently and collaboratively.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deploy and operate network infrastructure for new data center connectivity, branch/campus expansions, and existing network enhancements.
- Integrate new sites or PODs with the global WAN and multiple data centers across different geographies.
- Troubleshoot network issues, including routing protocols and VRF configurations.
- Act as the point of escalation for production outages related to daily operations and project-driven initiatives.
- Support high-speed network operations and ensure seamless connectivity.
Required Skills & Experience:
- 10+ years of experience in network engineering within Financial Services, a Technology Vendor, or a Systems Integrator.
- Strong expertise in routing protocols such as BGP, OSPF, and RIP.
- Experience with Cisco, Juniper, and Arista network hardware.
- Deep understanding of Ethernet technologies (Spanning Tree, VLANs, Trunking, Channeling, Multilayer Switching).
- WAN technologies: MPLS/VPN implementation and troubleshooting.
- Multicast routing: PIM, IGMP, MSDP.
- Ability to analyze and decode packet captures for troubleshooting using Wireshark.
- Strong knowledge of underlay and overlay networks.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience working with high-speed networks in complex environments.
- Expertise in network security principles and best practices.
- Ability to work effectively in a globally distributed team and manage cross-functional collaboration.
