Summary: Responsible for maintaining close, continuous surveillance of all gaming areas, racing areas and the surrounding property to secure safety and property assets.Essential Job Functions:· Always monitor all areas of the property, identifying potential securityand/or safety risks and reporting them to the appropriate individual or entity, for proper resolution· Utilizes necessary equipment, to identify, record, document and report illegal, suspicious or unusual activities occurring on property· Maintains a working knowledge of all rules and regulations of the New York State Gaming Commission and ensures strict adherence· Protects casino assets and gaming integrity· Participate in confidential internal and external investigations· Conducts research on subpoena requests from State and Federal Authority· Completes daily reports· Coordinates with Law Enforcement on matters pertaining to all criminal activity observed· Testify in court when necessary· Makes suggestions and recommendations with regard to possible changes in policies and procedures of other departments with the protection of casino and race track assets in mind· Must be able to work flexible hours including evenings, weekends, and holidays· All other duties as assignedQualifications:· Excellent verbal and written communications skills· Must be 21 years of age or older· Gaming industry experience preferred· Ability to identify color (casino tokes are color coded)· Basic math skills – (add, subtract, multiply and divide)· High school diploma or General Education Degree (GED), some college preferred· Ability to analyze documents and reports· Ability to work flexible shifts and days of the week including holidays· Ability to obtain and maintain all necessary licensingPhysical and Mental Demands:· Regularly required to sit, stand, walk and use hands to control surveillance tools.· Must occasionally lift and lift up to 25 pounds· Ability to sit in confined spaces for extended periods of time· Frequently required to stoop, crouch or kneel· Ability to interact with others while maintaining a courteous and positive demeanor· Exposure to climate environmentsJob Type : Full-timePay: $19.00 per hourBenefits:401(k)401(k) matchingDental insuranceEmployee assistance programHealth insuranceLife insurancePaid time offVision insurancePhysical Setting:CasinoOfficeSchedule:Day shiftEvening shiftMorning shiftOvernight shiftExperience:Surveillance: 3 years (Required)Work Location : In person
