Job Summary Florida Department of Corrections (FDC) is hiring a part‑time OPS Correctional Officer to provide services in state correctional facilities. The position is statewide, limited to 25.5 hours per week, and requires an active Florida correctional officer certification.Agency and Title Agency: Department of CorrectionsTitle: OPS Correctional Officer – StatewideAbout FDC FDC is the third largest state prison system in the United States, operating more than 150 facilities and employing over 22,000 staff members. As a correctional officer you will join a dedicated team that ensures public safety across Florida. Career progression is available from entry‑level officer to Sergeant, Lieutenant, Captain, Major, Colonel, and senior management roles such as Assistant Warden or Warden.
