Security Officer

What You'll Do
As a Security Officer, you will play a critical role in maintaining safety across campus:
- Respond to resident emergencies and provide first aid within your training
- Conduct regular security patrols and monitor campus activity
- Respond quickly to alarms, safety concerns, and incident situations
- Ensure buildings are secured through lock/unlock procedures
- Support emergency response efforts and coordinate additional help when needed
- Assist with basic maintenance-related issues (plumbing, electrical, mechanical, etc.) during urgent situations
- Identify and report hazards, safety risks, and incidents promptly
- Support campus events through setup and breakdown assistance
- Maintain accurate reports and documentation
- Interact with residents, families, and staff with professionalism, empathy, and respect

Minimum Requirements
- Current CPR certification and First Aid training
- 13 years of security, healthcare, or related experience preferred
- Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English to perform essential job functions, including emergency response, documentation, and communication with residents, families, and staff
- Must be at least 18 years of age
- Willingness to work flexible schedules, including on-call as needed
