Traffic Technician

A. Morton Thomas and Associates, Inc. (AMT) is seeking a Traffic Technician to join our Traffic Engineering team in one of our Mid-Atlantic office locations. Location can be flexible for the right candidate.

Responsibilities
  • Install and retrieve intrusive (rubber tubes) and non-intrusive (video cameras) traffic counting equipment.
  • Perform site visits to document conditions
  • Perform manual vehicle-occupancy counts and parking surveys
  • Maintain equipment and coordinate repairs as needed
  • Must be willing to travel regionally within MD, WV, VA, and NC.
  • Night work may occasionally be required.
Qualifications
  • 0-5 years' experience, willing to train.
  • Must have clean driving record. Must pass background check.
  • Must be capable of lifting 50 lbs. of equipment.
  • Must be capable of performing outdoor work that requires physical strength and stamina to endure extreme heat, cold and other conditions.
  • Required to run, stop, kneel, and crouch at job sites.
  • Computer / Microsoft Office savvy.
