Senior Network SME

We are seeking a highly experienced Senior Network Subject Matter Expert (SME) with deep expertise in LAN/WAN network administration, low latency environments, and advanced routing and switching technologies. The ideal candidate will hold a CCIE certification (Routing & Switching, Service Provider, or Data Center) and have a proven track record of optimizing complex network infrastructures.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design, deploy, and manage enterprise LAN/WAN networks with high availability and low latency requirements.
  • Implement and maintain advanced IP routing protocols, including BGP, MP-BGP, OSPF, MPLS, LISP, and multicast solutions.
  • Configure and troubleshoot high-performance routing and switching platforms such as ISR4K, ASR1K, ASR9K, Cisco Cat3K/4K/6K/9K, Arista 7200 series.
  • Optimize network performance in banking, trading, or other low-latency environments.
  • Implement Layer 2 and Layer 3 technologies including VXLAN, VLAN, DOT1Q, RSTP, EtherChannel (LACP & PAgP).
  • Design and enforce QoS policies to ensure network efficiency and application performance.
  • Collaborate with security teams to integrate network security measures while maintaining performance standards.
  • Serve as a technical advisor for complex network projects, performance optimization, and capacity planning.

Qualifications & Skills:

  • CCIE Certification (Routing & Switching, Service Provider, or Data Center Mandatory)
  • 10+ years of hands-on experience in LAN/WAN network administration
  • Strong knowledge of IP routing, BGP, OSPF, MPLS, IPSEC, QoS, L2/L3 VXLAN, Multicast
  • Experience in low-latency networks, preferably in trading/banking environments
  • Expertise with Cisco ISR, ASR series, Catalyst switches, Arista switches
  • Solid understanding of network performance optimization and troubleshooting

Preferred:

  • Familiarity with network automation, scripting, or monitoring tools
  • Experience in financial trading networks or similar high-speed environments
