Position Summary This role is responsible for dispatching driver schedules/routes and working with customers and warehouse operations to ensure accurate, timely, and efficient operations, while providing a high level of customer service.Schedule Sunday 7:00 AM - 03:30 PMMonday - Thursday 11:30 AM - 8:00 PMResponsibilities Dispatch driver schedules/routes for load pick‑up and deliveries; coordinate with customers and warehouse operations to ensure accurate, timely, and efficient operations, providing high‑level customer service.Ensure timely follow‑up, resolution, and response to any route planning or delivery timing issues; work with Transportation Supervisors as appropriate.Maintain and update the dispatch/communication log and software following department procedures; keep information accurate and up‑to‑date so drivers understand all requirements for scheduled delivery/pick‑up.Review, verify, and process driver delivery paperwork.Ensure adherence to company safety and sanitation policies, and all DOT rules and regulations.Develop and maintain good working relationships with customers and drivers.Assist with coordinating delivery changes, monitoring on‑board computers, logs, and maintenance schedules, and submitting necessary information to payroll clerk.Work with Transportation/Logistics team to schedule appointments and assist drivers with questions or issues related to delivery appointments.Additional responsibilities may be assigned as needed.Qualifications Associate's degree (Preferred) in Business Administration or related coursework; high school diploma or GED (required).Two years of logistics/transportation experience.Basic knowledge of dispatch operations; working knowledge of logistics operations.Good written and verbal communication skills and customer‑service skills; ability to interact with associates at all levels and external customers.Ability to work in a fast‑paced, detail‑oriented, organized environment; prioritize and multi‑task.Good problem‑solving and follow‑up skills.Proficient in MS Office (Excel and Word).Basic knowledge of DOT regulations; familiar with transportation systems. Cadec experience preferred.Physical Requirements May be required to lift and/or move up to 20 pounds. The associate is frequently required to sit, stand, and walk. The job is performed in a typical office environment and is rarely exposed to outside weather conditions.
