TITLE : DispatcherDEPARTMENT : OperationsREPORTS TO : Dispatch SupervisorFLSA STATUS : Non-ExemptPosition SummaryWe're seeking a highly organized and proactive Dispatcher to join our operations team. In this role, you'll serve as the central hub for coordinating daily routes, communicating with drivers, and ensuring timely and efficient waste collection services. Under the direction of the Dispatch Supervisor, the Dispatcher expedites the flow of communication to support our vision of being the obvious choice for our employees, customers, and community.Essential FunctionsKey ResponsibilitiesSchedule and dispatch drivers for residential, commercial, and industrial waste collection routes.Monitor route progress and adjust schedules as needed to meet service goals.Communicate effectively with drivers, customers, and management.Maintain accurate records of service requests, route changes, and incidents.Use dispatch software and GPS systems to track fleet activity.Respond promptly to service issues and emergencies.Address employee and customer concerns in a timely and effective manner.Monitor the Dashboard and notify the supervisor of any concerns.Review previous day's statistics to ensure accuracy and completeness.Perform end-of-day check-in process and verify route completion.Retrieve and charge tablets.Perform other duties as assigned.RequirementsKnowledge, Skills, and AbilitiesAbility to convey Tiger Sanitation as the obvious choice for our customers, employees, and community.Actively demonstrates Tiger Sanitation's core values: Professionalism, Respect, Accountability, and Communication.Ability to make decisions aligned with Tiger Sanitation's 4 Step Decision Making Process.Strong collaboration and communication skills.Ability to prioritize tasks to meet individual and team goals.Familiarity with routing software and GPS tracking systems.Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple tasks.Education and ExperienceHigh school diploma or equivalent required.Two (2) years of experience in dispatching, logistics, or transportation preferred.Additional training or certifications a plus.Working ConditionsThis position is based in a climate-controlled building. Requires extended periods of standing and manual dexterity to operate computers and telephonic equipment.
