Job Title: Federal Work Study (On-Campus – North Rec Utility Workers)Department of Campus Recreation and Wellness is currently seeking several North Recreational Complex (NRC) Utility Workers. Employees will learn all facets of properly maintaining an athletic complex, including basic sports turf fundamentals, field layouts, painting, turf equipment, and cultivation practices for turf grass.ResponsibilitiesMowing, edging, and weed trimmingPruning and backpack blowingTrash pick-up and sprayingPainting athletic fieldsAssembling athletic equipmentAll work will be performed outside at the North Recreational Complex location. These employees must be available to work approximately 12 to 38 hours each week between the hours of 7:00 am and 4:00 pm. There is no weekend or nighttime work required. Applicants must be prepared to work in various weather conditions.QualificationsMust be a currently enrolled ECU student in good academic standingValid NC driver's licenseAbility to lift 50 lbsExperience in operating gas-powered equipmentAny prior experience in landscaping, sports turf management, or operating heavy equipment is a plusExperience in maintenance, grounds-keeping, or a related field preferredSpecial Instructions to ApplicantsPlease upload your Resume, Class schedule, and Federal Work Study Authorization form online.
