Gate Automation & Low Voltage Technician

The Gate Automation & Low Voltage Technician plays a key role in both installation and service of gate systems and commercial security technologies. This position is ideal for someone who enjoys a mix of mechanical work, low-voltage systems, and customer interaction, with the opportunity to grow into a long-term career.

What You'll Do

-Install, service, and troubleshoot:

  • Gate systems (slide, swing, lift, crash gates)
  • Parking revenue control systems
  • Bollards and barrier systems

-Support installation and service of low-voltage and security systems, including:

  • Access control systems
  • CCTV/video surveillance
  • Security/intrusion systems
  • Fire alarm systems
  • Voice/data cabling and structured wiring
  • Wired and wireless networks
  • Paging and telephone entry systems

-Program, test, and troubleshoot commercial security and access systems

-Provide on-site customer service, including system training and support

-Collaborate with team members and assist in training new technicians

-Travel to job sites throughout Ohio as needed

Requirements

What We're Looking For

  • Experience with low-voltage systems (access control, cameras, intrusion, or cabling)
  • Ability to install, program, and troubleshoot commercial security systems
  • Strong problem-solving skills and logical thinking
  • Excellent customer service and communication skills
  • Comfortable using smartphones, tablets, and laptops in the field
  • Proficiency with hand and power tools
  • Eagerness to learn and grow within a technical field

Nice to Have

  • Experience with gate automation systems
  • HVAC, electrical, or construction background
