EMS Instructor -TEMPORARY

Primary PurposeResponsible for delivering AHA Courses including CPR, First-Aid, Basic Life Support, Advanced Cardiac Life Support, and Pediatric Life Support.Essential Job FunctionsConduct American Heart Association Courses in a classroom setting for individuals and groups.Train participants on effective responses to emergency scenarios and delivering essential life support.Execute correct procedures for administering life support procedures/techniques according to AHA standards.Implement diverse teaching strategies to captivate participants and optimize learning outcomes.Provide constructive feedback and assessments to monitor participant advancement and ensure understanding.Maintain a secure and structured classroom setting for optimal learning experiences.Job RequirementsShift varies based on teaching assignment requirements; weekend or evening teaching may be required.May require travel to off-site locations to accommodate customer/client training needs.Required Knowledge, Skills, & AbilitiesStrong communication skills, both verbal and written, with diverse students.Proficiency in the use of audio‑visual equipment.Establish a supportive and conducive learning environment.Exemplify professional conduct as a role model.Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.Required Certifications/LicensesCurrent AHA Instructor certification.Current AHA Provider certification.Required EducationHigh School Diploma or Equivalent.Preferred QualificationsClassroom teaching experience delivering life support courses.Additional NotesJob Category: Non‑Exempt.Pay Basis: Hourly.Hiring Range: Commensurate with experience.Subject to Grant Funding: No.Is this a safety‑sensitive position?
