Overview
The Armed Security Officer is responsible for ensuring the safety and security of residents, visitors, and property within the apartment complex. This position involves maintaining a visible presence, enforcing community rules, and responding to security incidents with professionalism and discretion.
Responsibilities
- Patrol the apartment grounds, parking lots, and common areas to deter unauthorized activity and ensure resident safety.
- Respond promptly to calls for service, disturbances, or suspicious activity.
- Enforce property policies and regulations while maintaining a respectful and professional demeanor with residents and guests.
- Conduct vehicle and foot patrols to prevent trespassing, vandalism, theft, and other unlawful acts.
- Prepare detailed hourly reports using our tracktik security system, on activities, incidents, and observations.
- Coordinate with law enforcement and emergency responders when necessary.
- Provide assistance to residents, management, and contractors as needed to maintain a safe environment.
Qualifications
- Must possess a valid armed security officer license or certification as required by state law.
- Proven experience in security, law enforcement, or military service preferred.
- Excellent communication and conflict-resolution skills.
- Ability to remain calm and act decisively during high-stress situations.
- Must be able to stand, walk, and patrol for extended periods and work in various weather conditions.
- Professional appearance and conduct required at all times.
