In addition to our large inventory of OEM parts, AIS services all makes and models of gas, steam, electric, and refrigerated food‑service equipment as well as all lines of beverage equipment.Position SummaryAs part of the AIS Pittsburgh team and broader Tech24 network, the Dispatcher serves as the central hub of communication between customers and technicians. This role is responsible for coordinating service requests, managing technician schedules, and ensuring timely, accurate, and professional service delivery. The ideal candidate remains calm under pressure, communicates clearly, and thrives in a fast‑paced, ever‑changing environment.Key ResponsibilitiesDispatch service calls and assign jobs to technicians efficiently and timely.Coordinate and manage technicians' daily schedules and routes.Communicate appointment details and updates with customers.Deliver a high level of customer service through professional and courteous interactions.Clearly communicate service needs between customers and technicians.Distribute workload in a way that maximizes productivity while maintaining fairness across the team.Track and coordinate follow‑ups for jobs requiring return visits.Learn and effectively utilize the company's dispatch and business systems.Maintain positive working relationships with technicians and administrative staff.Provide backup support in the absence of the Branch Manager.Participate in a rotational on‑call schedule as needed.QualificationsHigh school diploma or GED required.Minimum of 3 years of dispatching experience.Prior experience in HVAC and/or food‑service industry preferred.Strong attention to detail with the ability to work accurately and efficiently.Excellent customer service, verbal, and written communication skills.Proficient in computer systems and dispatch software.Ability to multitask and manage competing priorities in a fast‑paced environment.Self‑motivated with the ability to work independently and follow through on tasks.Willingness to participate in a rotational on‑call schedule.Experience with third‑party service platforms (e.g., EcoTrack, Corrigo, Vixxo) is a plus.Compensation TransparencyThe advertised pay range for this position is $18 – $25 per hour.
