Mid-Level Technical Security Specialist
This position supports our customer's nationwide TSCM program with strategic and operational support across various locations, providing essential contributions to safeguarding classified and sensitive information from foreign and domestic threats. This initiative offers an opportunity to contribute to national security through cutting-edge technical and security-focused roles. The Mid-Level Technical Security Specialist (MTSS) provides technical expertise and operational support for Technical Security Programs (TSP), including Technical Surveillance Countermeasures (TSCM), Wireless Security (WiSec), Protected Distribution Systems (PDS), and TEMPEST services. Responsibilities include inspections, in-conference security monitoring, pre-construction advice, and other security services as directed. The MTSS ensures compliance with national policies, procedures, and applicable laws. Maintaining required security clearances and certifications is mandatory. Positions may be located at various government or contractor facilities. Must be a U.S. Citizen. Must have an active Top Secret/DOE Q clearance with SCI eligibility. Contingent upon award of Contract.
- Act as a technical subject matter expert, advising personnel on technical security policies, procedures, and regulations
- Conduct TSCM, WiSec, PDS, and TEMPEST services, inspections, and security monitoring
- Develop and deliver technical security training in classroom and field settings
- Assist in designing and reviewing technical security measures for facilities
- Apply technical procedures to prevent unauthorized access to classified and sensitive information
- Translate technical requirements to non-technical personnel and communicate effectively with small and large groups
- Prepare clear and concise reports detailing services performed, cost-effective strategies, and protection measures
- Provide updates and recommendations on national and international developments in commercial and state-of-the-art security technology
- Perform physically demanding tasks, including working in confined spaces, at heights, under adverse conditions, and lifting heavy loads (50+ lbs)
- Maintain and acquire certifications required for technical security operations
