What You'll Be Doing
- Lead and execute fire protection and life safety engineering projects for diverse clients and building types.
- Provide consulting on International Building Code (IBC) and Life Safety Code requirements.
- Manage project scopes, budgets, and schedules from concept through completion.
- Develop and review fire protection system designs, specifications, and drawings.
- Conduct building code and life safety evaluations for new and existing structures.
- Mentor junior engineers and contribute to professional development initiatives.
- Collaborate closely with mechanical, electrical, and plumbing teams for integrated design solutions.
- Prepare clear, technically sound reports and documentation.
- Support client presentations and represent the firm at project meetings.
- Participate in light travel for site visits and coordination.
What You'll Bring to the Job
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Fire Protection Engineering or a related engineering field from an ABET-accredited program.
- Minimum of six years of experience in fire protection and life safety consulting.
- Professional Engineer (PE) license required with NCEES eligibility for multi-state registration.
- Experience with project management and cost control in a consulting engineering environment.
- Must be authorized to work for any U.S. employer without sponsorship now or in the future.
