Position Overview This is a paid government internship based in our Washington, D.C. office. Interns work a minimum of 18 hours and a maximum of 30 hours per semester (fall, spring, or summer). The program is in person and follows the academic schedule.Responsibilities Conduct substantive issue research.Attend congressional and executive branch agency hearings.Draft memorandums.Prepare presentations for client meetings.Provide general administrative support to our Washington, D.C.-based lobbying practice group.Participate in meetings with senior personnel to discuss their practices, backgrounds, and experiences.Qualifications Strong analytical and critical‑thinking ability.Attention to detail.Strong writing skills.Applied understanding of executive and legislative branch processes.Experience or a previous internship in the government sector is highly valued and preferred.Education Eligible candidates are current students in good standing. Summer candidates must plan to be enrolled in class for the following fall semester.Compensation The base salary range for this position is $17.95 per hour. Compensation may vary based on qualifications and experience.
