Project Engineer
Seeking Project Engineer for a part-time (contract) or full-time position. The ideal candidate will have experience in engineering disciplines related to shock and vibration, concentration in flow control products, and proficiency in technical proposal development. The Project Engineer will work closely with our seasoned Technical Sales team and interface with various Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEMs). Knowledge of AutoCAD, Supplier Data Requirement Lists (SDRL) from defense shipbuilders, and prior experience with NAVSEA, SUPSHIP, or shipyard operations are highly desirable.
Key Responsibilities:
- Drawing Creation: Utilize AutoCAD to create detailed drawings and schematics for engineering projects, ensuring accuracy and adherence to specifications.
- SDRL Management: Manage Supplier Data Requirement Lists (SDRL) from various defense shipbuilders, ensuring compliance and timely submission of required documentation.
- Shock & Vibration Analysis: Conduct analysis and testing related to shock and vibration characteristics of products, ensuring compliance with industry standards and customer requirements.
- Flow Control Products: Specialize in concentration on flow control products, including valves and actuators, understanding their applications and engineering requirements.
- Technical Proposals: Develop technical proposals for engineering projects, including scope of work, cost estimates, and project timelines, in collaboration with the sales and engineering teams.
- OEM Interface: Act as the primary point of contact for interfacing with Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEMs), facilitating communication and collaboration on project requirements and specifications.
- Collaboration: Work closely with our seasoned Technical Sales team to understand customer needs, provide technical support, and assist in developing tailored solutions.
- Experience Preferred: Preference for candidates with prior experience as a NAVSEA, SUPSHIP, or shipyard employee, or engineers from valve or actuator companies, due to familiarity with relevant processes and regulations.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related field; Master's degree preferred.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD and other engineering software tools.
- Strong understanding of shock and vibration principles and their application in engineering projects.
- Experience with Supplier Data Requirement Lists (SDRL) from defense shipbuilders is highly desirable.
- Knowledge of flow control products, including valves and actuators.

- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
