IT Professional that works on a team responsible for facilities-based systems, including but not limited to surveillance, door control, building automation, and telecommunication. This work covers all aspects of design, planning, installation, and support of the aforementioned systems, including supporting desktop PCs, servers, network devices, storage solutions, and surveillance-specific equipment. The role involves installation, configuration, maintenance, and monitoring of multiple statewide networks, filtering with Palo Alto and Zscaler, and mitigating issues as they arise. It also requires extensive system documentation creation and updates. The work is performed at the agency's nearly 200 locations statewide, including many secure sites, often independently. Delegation, improvisational skills, creativity, adaptability, and strong troubleshooting skills are required. Day travel and long days are common.Provides documentation/project tracking and management reporting. Provides tactical and strategic input on overall systems planning and related projects. Requires surveillance, network, and server support capabilities with 10 or more years of experience in the field or a related area. Relies on extensive experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals. Independently performs a variety of tasks.
