We're looking for an energetic and engaging Museum Facilitator to support family-centered, hands-on maker experiences at our flagship location above Bethesda Metro Center.Schedule: Sundays, 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM (including a 30 minute lunch break)What You'll DoAs a Museum Facilitator, you'll help bring creativity and curiosity to life by:Assisting with program setup, cleanup, and room resetsSupporting open-ended, learner-driven activities across studios, including:WoodshopTech LabTextiles StudioElectronicsCardboard StudioEngaging visitors in large, collaborative spaces such as:Big BuildMaker ArenaMaterials BarCultural community projectsMini Maker Zone (ages 3–5)Participate in 2 hours per month of staff training and/or meetingsOccurs Monday–Friday, during regular working hoursMay be in person or virtualMinimum QualificationsHigh school diploma or equivalentExperience working with families or youth audiencesPassion for exploration-based, hands-on learningStrong interpersonal and communication skillsReliable, independent, and detail-orientedPreferred (but not required)Background in maker education, STEM, or similar fieldsFamiliarity with the Maker MovementSpanish language proficiencyAvailabilityAbility to commit to at least two Sundays per month (more available shifts optional)Our Commitment to InclusionAt KID Museum, diversity, equity, accessibility, and inclusion are essential to who we are and what we do every day.
