Primary Responsibilities: • Work with faculty and instructional designers using state-of-the-art technology and effective pedagogy to produce engaging online courses.
• Curriculum design, development and launch of electronic delivered classes.
• Technical assistance using electronic platforms in use for online courses.
• Convert hard copy instructional materials (Word, PowerPoint, images, video, audio) to effective electronic format appropriate to enhance student learning.
• Create, alter and maintain web sites. • Identify and apply new resources to support on-line course development.
• Maintain knowledge of web-based teaching technology to enhance online learning processes.
Required Job Experience: • Two years of relevant experience associated with distance education software.
• Digital audio video production and graphic design with Final Cut Pro, Photoshop, Illustrator. • HTML, Dreamweaver, and Adobe Flash.
• Instructional authoring with Captivate, Camtasia, and Articulate. • Learning methods and needs of adult learner. • Work collaboratively within an academic community with minimal supervision. Degree (Required): BA/BS in technology related fields. Certification (Preferred one of the following in lieu of Required Degree): Software platform certification (Captivate, Camtasia, Articulate, Final Cut Pro, Photoshop, Illustrator, HTML, Dreamweaver, or Adobe Flash), and Security + certification.
