Type of Requisition: RegularClearance Level Must Currently Possess: Top Secret SCI + PolygraphClearance Level Must Be Able to Obtain: Top Secret SCI + PolygraphPublic Trust/Other Required: NoneJob Family: Intelligence Operations and AnalysisJob Qualifications:Skills: Analytical Thinking, Analytical Tools, TEMPESTCertifications: NoneExperience: 10+ years of related experienceUS Citizenship Required: YesJob DescriptionThe TEMPEST Security Specialist assists the Certified TEMPEST Technical Authority (CTTA) in the formal affirmation that government facilities and customer sponsored contractor facilities where SCI is electronically processed meet the security requirements of applicable TEMPEST policies efficiently and cost effectively.The TEMPEST engineer will produce TSS deliverables. Shall review TEMPEST testing, TEMPEST worksheets, Red and Black Installation/Separation and Protective Distribution System (PDS) packages to ensure compliance with applicable regulations. Shall create Site Survey Reports and SOCOMM message for customer approval and release. Record the documents and task closure in customer database.The TEMPEST engineer will conduct ad hoc testing using equipment from the Government's TEMPEST inventory. Produce an Ad Hoc TEMPEST report, with descriptions of any anomalies, concerns, or discoveries.A TEMPEST Engineer must demonstrate knowledge of the following:Wide range of security concepts, principles, and practices in the use of TEMPEST and TSCM analysis techniques.Interpreting complex facility architectural and infrastructure plans/drawings.Probability, statistics, information theory and the ability to implement processes using computer programs.Information and communication theory.Signal propagation and antenna theory.Structural parameters and grounding techniques, test measurement and diagnostic equipment (TMDE).Computing principles and internal functionality.Computer database management and working knowledge of programs (e.g., Microsoft Office, Lab view, Visio, AutoCAD Lite, Adobe Acrobat). Knowledge of physical security countermeasures.PDS construction materials and methods.Physical intrusion detection system technology.Interpreting complex signal component wiring diagrams.May serve as team or task lead.
