Help
- Serves as the Program Director and Training Coordinator, and as the principal instructor, for the Seattle District Hydroelectric Power Plant Training Program.
- The Program is a District-wide trades and crafts apprenticeship curriculum combining formal education and on-the-job training leading to journey level capability in the Power Plant Electrician, Mechanic, and Operator series.
- Develops and oversees parallel training programs to accommodate trainees at the 4-year entry apprenticeship level and/or the 2-year post trade school.
- Develops lesson plans and makes additional assignments to produce a broad knowledge of the project's equipment and operations.
- Prepares and develops audiovisual programs to reinforce, or supplement written information on all pertinent phases of power plant, turbine/generator, and spillway control operations, which includes demonstrations of actual equipment operation.
- Provides day-to-day, general supervision of trades and crafts trainees at power plant projects.
- Develops a cross-training program to accommodate the continued skill maintenance and advancement of journey-level trades and crafts personnel for the 3 project sites.
