Job Description:
Our client is seeking a Mission Integration Engineer to provide high-level SETA support to the U.S. Space Force's Space Test Program (STP) within Space Systems Command. This position serves as a trusted technical advisor and strategic partner to government leadership, supporting the integration, launch, and execution of DoD research and development space missions. The Space Test Program serves as the Department of Defense's executive agent for R&D space experiments, providing rapid access to space for satellites and experimental payloads across Air Force, Navy, and Army stakeholders. This individual will act as the government's "right hand" for mission integration activities, evaluating satellite readiness, supporting acquisition efforts, reviewing technical documentation, and ensuring successful mission execution from concept through launch and on-orbit operations. Key Responsibilities
-Serve as the SETA lead supporting both the Space Test Program and Mission Integration Branch.
-Provide acquisition and mission integration support to government customers.
-Review technical documentation, interface control documents (ICDs), requirements packages, and -mission deliverables for compliance with customer and government requirements.
-Assess technical and schedule readiness of satellites and payloads for launch.
-Identify and evaluate risks associated with spacecraft, payloads, and launch vehicles.
-Provide technical guidance throughout spacecraft design, development, assembly, integration, testing, and launch activities.
-Support launch manifest development and mission planning efforts.
-Coordinate with government stakeholders, launch providers, and mission teams to ensure successful -mission execution.
-Apply systems engineering principles across the full mission lifecycle.
-Act as liaison with operational organizations supporting satellites during launch and their first year on-orbit.
