DescriptionThe Ship's Signal Exploitation Equipment (SSEE) Program is the Navy's Flagship Signal's Intelligence (SIGINT) system; installed on U.S. Navy ships, and Coast Guard platforms. NIWC Atlantic is the In-Service Engineering Agency (ISEA) responsible for lifecycle support, from development through transition. This support includes; but is not limited to; engineering, requirements analysis, testing, technical writing, fleet technical support, training, procurement, configuration management, production, warehousing, drafting and repair. This support, ultimately, is designed to ensure the deployed SSEE systems and Navy operators are positioned for success against our Nation's adversaries.Candidates for this position will work in a team setting while performing the following responsibilities:Executing the assembly, integration, and testing of ship-specific system hardware and/or cabling during new installations and/or system upgrade eventsApplying critical thinking skills and organizational expertise to help organize efforts, tasks, and documentation to plan and execute installation and modification of our systems on USN surface combatants, special mission platforms, some USNS ships, and shore installationsCommunicating and coordinating with agile stakeholders and with fleet customers electronically and in person in a professional mannerExecutingthe assembly, integration, and testing of ship-specific system hardware and/or cabling during new installations and/or system upgrade eventsRepresenting the U.S. Government in the execution of high visibility, high-priority tasks on ships in portDocumenting support needed via daily reporting and the use of JiraTaking initiative to redline drawings when approved, capturing the system as built during installationTraveling required for but not limited to site surveys and installations#LI-LL1RequirementsExperience executing the assembly, integration, and testing of ship-specific system hardware and/or cabling during new installations and/or system upgrade eventsWorking knowledge of the radio frequency spectrum to include working with calibration and testing equipment (i.e. Time Domain Reflectometers, Spectrum Analyzers, Vector Network Analyzers, Signal Generators, Frequency Counters, Oscilloscopes, and Digital Multi Meters) and basic antenna troubleshootingWorking knowledge of system administrationExcellent communication and writing skillsMust possess and maintain a TS/SCI ClearanceCompTIA Security+ certification (or must be able to obtain within six months of hire)Desired SkillsGeneral working knowledge in reference to the hardware installation, system configuration, system administration and maintenance of Hostile Forces Integrated Targeting Service (HITS), DRT, Cryptologic Carry-On Program (CCOP), Ship's Signal Exploitation Equipment (SSEE), and Mission ModulesExperience leading teams during the installation of shipboard systemsClearance InformationSRC IS A CONTRACTOR FOR THE U.S. GOVERNMENT, THIS POSITION WILL REQUIRE U.S. CITIZENSHIP AS WELL AS, A U.S. GOVERNMENT SECURITY CLEARANCE AT THE TOP SECRET / SCI LEVELTravel RequirementsUp to 30% travel will be required for this positionBenefitsSRC offers a generous benefit package, including medical, dental, and vision plans, 401(k) with a company match, life insurance, vacation and sick paid time off accruals with amounts increasing based on role and years of service, 11 paid holidays, tuition reimbursement, and a work environment that encourages excellence and more.
