About the RoleThe McPherson Police Department is seeking highly motivated individuals to serve as full‑time Police Patrol Officers. Officers will enforce local, state, and federal laws, investigate crimes, enforce traffic regulations, investigate traffic collisions, and assist the public. The department offers opportunities for advancement and specialization within Patrol, Operations, and Administrations Bureaus, including Investigations, Special Response Team, Crisis Negotiations Team, Bike Patrol, Honor/Color Guard Team, Critical Incident Stress Management/Peer Support Team, Firearms Instruction, Defensive Tactics Instruction, D.A.R.E.
