Duties

Help

As a SUPPLY SYSTEMS ANALYST-TITLE 5, GS-2003-11, you will review, analyze, and interpret logistical directives and procedural instructions, and recommend local policy and procedures. Recommend substantial changes in technical, operational, and clerical procedures. Perform extensive research, analysis, and recommend resolution to major logistical problems, changing local policy, or assigning responsibility for projects. Provide functional analysis of automated support requirements. Investigate and analyze a variety of supply problems, questions, or conditions related to automated logistic systems. Ensure automated logistical systems support logistical functional requirements of the supply support activity. Coordinate, implement, and evaluate the Division's responsibilities in the Army's Management Control Program, including internal controls. Review logistical reports and recommend action to ensure overall effectiveness of program. Advise on personnel, funds, and facilities sources for the operation of the Supply and Services Division. Monitor follow-up action on audits, evaluations, and inspection reports. Assist in the preparation of the State Operating Budget and financial programs in the Division. Analyze unliquidated obligations and funding reservations, recommends corrective action. Balance workload and provide advice, guidance, and direction on policy, investigative, inspection/exercise, strategic planning, and administrative issues. Identify requirements and initiate requests for additional resources including personnel, overtime, equipment, supplies, training and space. Perform other duties as assigned.

CONDITIONS OF EMPLOYMENT:

May be required to successfully complete a trial period.

Participation in direct deposit is mandatory.

May be subject to furlough actions.

Acceptance of a Federal position will terminate Tricare eligibility.

This position is located on a tobacco free facility.

Must obtain and maintain a favorable adjudication of a T3 or equivalent investigation.

Qualifications

Applicants who meet the DoD Priority Placement Program Retained Grade category are eligible to apply with this preference. (See Required Documents Section)

SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE:


Must have at least 12 months experience at the next lower level in the normal line of progression through federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector that demonstrates the knowledge and experience managing supply functions. Knowledge of the current supply management system. Experience coordinating with other organizations on complex and controversial supply issues. Experience providing advice and guidance on supply regulations to upper levels of management regarding supply functions. Knowledge of budget and financial management programs to evaluate the effect of new programs on funding requirements and direct the formulation of justification for budget revision. Experience may have been gained in administrative, professional, technical, investigative, or other responsible work.

EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:

Resume must have complete dates, work schedule, and/or hours worked per week for both civilian and military employment. (Example: 2 JAN 1980 to 3 MAR 1981; 0800-1630 M-F or JAN 1980 to MAR 1981; 40 hrs/wk) Use of year only and unspecified work schedule will result in disqualification.
